About the Author

S. N. Pulling lives in Opelika, Alabama, where she cooks for her husband Jim, daughter Mimi, and dog Molly, as well as for other family members and friends. She attempts to compensate for her lack of formal culinary training with a perversely enormous collection of cookbooks, most of it in hardcover.

When she isn’t cooking, she works as an English instructor at a major public university. Her areas of specialization include the history of the novel; 19th-Century British literature; Postcolonial theory and literature; and Cultural Studies.

She is especially interested in the cuisines of India, North Africa and the Middle East. Understandably, her spice cabinet is a bit of a mess. Still Life with Whisk is her first and only blog.
